New Gutter Installation in Seattle:
Quality & Design Near You
The purpose of a rain gutter system is to funnel the water off the roof and conduct it away from the building structure to prevent potential water damage. This is even more relevant in places like Washington, where every year many people lose thousands of dollars to repair water-damaged structures. Nothing better than healthy rain gutters and downspouts to prevent the impact of the water in the different structures… and in your pocket!
Although there are many factors that affect the life of a rain gutter, the average lifetime of a gutter system is 25 to 30 years. Some signs that indicate it is time to replace the gutters, among others, are:
- Gutters start leaking in the corners
- Gutters that are sagging, or pulled away
- Rusty gutters
- Gutters with holes, cracks or fractures
- Standing water in gutters that are attached with nails
Nowadays there are many gutter profiles and materials that can work to match different projects, and we are proud to have a variety of options to adapt to our customers’ functional and aesthetic needs. From standard seamless continuous aluminum gutters to half round zinc or copper gutters among others. And further than that, multiple downspout options to give the final touch when tailoring the project to the customer gutter needs. If you want to know more about them, check our gutter profiles here.
We are happy to solve any doubt you might have with regard to your new gutters and downspouts profiles, sizes, colors and materials.

Gutter Installation or Gutter Replacement?
The difference between these two terms is really easy; a gutter replacement service includes removal and disposal of the existing gutters while a gutter installation service includes just installing new gutters.

Hidden Gutters to Exterior Gutters in Seattle:
A Fully Functional System Again
In many houses, mostly those built during the 1960’s, the gutter system type is known as hidden gutters, built-in gutters or roof gutters instead of the classic exterior gutters. Although many people find them aesthetically beautiful because they are invisible to the eye, most of the times this type of rain gutters end up creating havoc in the closest structures. They are located between the rafter tails and the fascia board of the house, and, as houses settle down with the years, the level of the gutters vary and can lead to water overflow, rotten wood or fascia board and rafter tails damage.
On the other hand, the traditional exterior gutters, which are installed out of the house structures —and in which the highest part is that in the back—, in case of overflowing, the water will always run towards the external side of gutter into the ground.
Built-in gutters cannot be re-sloped, so in order to make the gutter system function again, it has to be replaced by an external gutter system.
Amigo Gutters replaces hidden gutters by exterior gutters in the Seattle area. Contact us if you need new exterior gutters!
